Aldi and Venmo Team Up with Feeding America to Provide 1M Meals

From the official Aldi blog:

This year, we’re teaming up with Venmo for a first-of-its kind charitable campaign to add a new tradition of giving to your Friendsgiving celebrations! Together we designed the first Friendsgiving Turkey Hand emoji. Every time the Turkey Hand is used in a Venmo payment note in November, we’ll donate 10 meals to our friends at Feeding America®, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.

We’re working to provide 1 million meals ($100,000) to families in need this holiday, secured by Feeding America on behalf of their local member food banks. Together, Feeding America provides food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs in communities across America.

Inspired by the popular childhood craft project, the Turkey Hand is a fun representation of the spirit of giving and coming together with friends. As you work to determine who’s bringing what this Friendsgiving, make sure to use the Venmo app along with the custom Turkey Hand emoji to help us donate to this amazing cause.

We’re so honored to have the opportunity to help people in need during this holiday season, and we hope you join us in using our custom Turkey Hand emoji.
